to high school, rather than continue homeschooling. Did you homeschool
through high school with the older kids?>>

We sent the kids to high school as a joint decision with them. I really felt
pretty confident about doing high school English studies, but didn't think
that timewise we could do the Jewish stuff at home. Also things like
performances and extra-curricular activities from a Jewish perspective
wouldn't have worked. They wanted a larger social group - which Seattle
doesn't offer of like minded people- and [...]49_LPBBJIADABHKBEKLJEPAEEFMCAAA.suelap@attglobal.net 861 35 42_Re: Homeschoolers Day at the Jerusalem Zoo47_Israel (Ira) Friedman and Tzviya (Fawn) Brickel21_ifriedma@actcom.co.il31_Sun, 30 Jan 2000 22:20:04 +0200577_us-ascii Hi,
I just thought I'd let people know that the meeting at the zoo was a
success, although the day wasn't quite as sunny or warm as it had been the
day before. (Of course, three days later we were under snow! :-)
Ephraim didn't come (and my sons were looking forward to seeing his son)
but I was there, along with Sara Rivka and some new people I haven't met
before, both homeschoolers and those just interested. The children had a
marvelous time playing in the playground and making friends with the
rabbits and goats in the petting zoo. [...]43_30Jan200022:20:04+0200ifriedma@actcom.co.il 897 62 10_Re: Hebrew47_Israel (Ira) Friedman and Tzviya (Fawn) Brickel21_ifriedma@actcom.co.il31_Sun, 30 Jan 2000 22:11:27 +0200585_us-ascii At 10:14 PM 1/16/00 -0800, you wrote:

But if you're eager to learn, they same things that make them dry also
make it very easy to learn.

Not at all! I love to hear about other people's experiences. Your husband
was homeschooled! Neat. Was his family observant?

they use the same pictures and script for each language they have tapes for,
just translated into the appropriate language; so the particular words and
situations are not necessarily suited to the culture whose language you are
trying to learn.
