Many communities have people who know the halacha designing the Tallit and tying tzitzit (ask your Rabbi) and this makes the Tallit personal. However later on in the Torah we see the word Dor used in Devarim 7:9 Where is written "Who love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations." Here the word used for generations is "Dor." And why is it simply Dor and not Dorot. Isn't Dorot the plural of Dor? In our prayers many a time we say Dor ledor from generation to generation and here Dor is singular. [...]

There are several stores around 5th Ave and 35th Street, and we found a tallit in minutes.
For Wendy and the other on-line vendors: It was not dishonesty which turned us away, but the uniformly poor quality on the web sites. The pictures were often small, blurry, poorly lit, and showing only part of the tallit. =20 [...]
