You may want to try calling. That's how we found ours. Also sometimes the pediatricians and OB's know, but not as likely. - Blanche

There is a web site devoted to circumcision, www.circumcision.net, which lists a phone number, 1-888-MOHEL44, for those seeking a mohel. Presumably they have contacts in various areas of the country. [...]

You can also find an extensive list in the Jewish Guide to Boston and New England which is a must have for your desk if you don't already own it. Worth every penny.

Here's my 2 cents since you asked :-).
1. There aren't any fixed rules as to how to celebrate a bar mitzvah's coming of age. So go ahead and do what is meaningful to you. [...]

I think I was not clear in my original post. I realize that tefilim are not worn on Shabbes or Yom Tov. We were going to have the immeadiate family (there will be a minyan) on Thursday morning. This is unusual and simply not done in our congregation. The rabbi will be doing this service specifically for us. He does not own/wear tefillim. We will esentially be having a three day event, because on Friday, there will be a Shabbat service, then the Shabbes service. The whole mishpucha is only coming on Saturday. [...]
