like to take responsibility for transcribing these tapes?
That's a lot of typing! Thanks.

Dear Mochin subscribers, associates and friends,

I have been out of touch for the last couple of days owing
to a computer upgrade by a company that left me stranded
in the middle. Sound familiar?

On a positive note, yesterday, thanks to Chana's initiative,
I received a last minute invitation to discuss Project Mind
on the "pirate" radio station, Arutz Sheva. I put "pirate" in
quotes because, in spite of its unofficial status, it has gained
popularity (and revenues) beyond many of the establishment
stations. The word out is that it will soon be licensed. [...]42_23May200116:01:44+0300devor@pob.huji.ac.il 733 12 27_Re: Arutz 7 radio interview11_Karen Mason20_armonelyon@yahoo.com29_Wed, 23 May 2001 20:21:57 EDT334_- ------------------------- mochin@shamash.org ------------------------+

Tomorrow night and Monday is the Jewish festival of

I hope you'll enjoy it.

Shavuot - 6 Sivan
B'S"D

Shavuot, also known as "Chag HaBikurim," "Atzeret" and "Zman Matan Torateinu," is the festival commemorating the giving of the Torah to the People of Israel. It is one of three pilgrimage (to the Temple in Jerusalem) festivals, including Pessach (Passover) and Succoth (Tabernacles). Shavuot falls on the 6th of Sivan, exactly 50 days counting from the second day of Pessach. read anywhere. Initiative and innovation and the infinite are in my
opinion a way of life which we should all pursue. In my various

I have emphasized the distinction between Creative Genius and
Ingenious Followers. The latter make at most one step ahead
(of the last person) contributions and are frequently one step
behind the person whom they are imitating. In physical, social,
life, and behavioral sciences, and in humanities, this Ingenious
Follower is the most common researcher [...]39_26May200123:02:25EDTosher@ix.netcom.com 1209 91 39_Creative Genius vs. Accelerated Thought16_devor@huji.ac.il20_devor@pob.huji.ac.il31_Sun, 27 May 2001 16:40:48 +0300721_iso-8859-8 B'S"D

Hi Osher,

I hope you had a good Chag.

>Thank you for your interesting reply. I think that Creative Genius (CG for

Environment and training certainly can encourage
and nurture genius but I believe that it is well
established that genius, of the accepted kind,
is both exceptional and innate. There is no
environment, however privileged, that will make
an Einstein or a Bach out of the "normal" child.
In most cases, the best you will get is someone
with a good level of technical competence. [...]42_29May200122:24:27+0300devor@pob.huji.ac.il 1370 98 43_Re: Creative Genius vs. Accelerated Thought11_Stan Sambey18_stambo@hotmail.com29_Wed, 30 May 2001 20:35:42 EDT389_- Hello David,

Hi Stan,

>I'm curious about this 'accepted kind' of genius. Genius of math,
>the sciences, the arts perhaps? How about a genius of love,
>or life, or martial understanding?

This is covered in one of the PM book chapters
(I forget which). The short answer is that these
orientations pertain to penetrating material that
is less dense and the level of awareness that
pertains to them is "subjective" consciousness
(not to be confused with subjectivity and reflective
consciousness) as opposed to "objective"
consciousness. For those who are familiar with Tfilin
(phylacteries), the former corresponds to Tfilin of the
heart [...]42_31May200116:47:53+0300devor@pob.huji.ac.il
