The first prayer was Vayechal Moshe, the prayer that Moshe offered immediately upon being informed by Hashem that Bnay Yisrael sinned in the gravest manner, by creating an idol. The Torah records Moshe's remarkably short prayer, after which the Torah tells us that God, Kivayachol, consoled Himself (Vayinachem Hashem) and Moshe descended the mountain with the Luchos.
