I suspect that DaG = fish is derived from sin-yod-het = swim based on the original dental D/T sound of the sin/shin.
You may remember that *every* shin in "my" anthropomorphic maps had a T-sound, with the partial exception of shin-dalet = breast, which is now called (T)Chad (south of Lybia). [...]
